The City of Prince George (the “City) invites bids from qualified contractors to complete the remediation of Shane Lake Dam to meet BC Dam Safety Regulation 40/2016 (February 29, 2016), and the 2007 Canadian Dam Association (CDA) Dam Safety Guidelines (2013 Edition). The Work includes the excavation and construction of a riprap-lined open channel spillway located at the right abutment of the dam and discharging downstream into Shane Creek (approximately 70m), removal of the existing culvert overflow from the dam crest, levelling of the dam crest, and improvements to the Access Road (approximately 850m) to facilitate all-season, all-weather access to the dam. |
