| Description: |
The City of Prince George (the "City") is seeking proposals from Consultants to provide building permit review, approvals and inspection services. Building Permit applications include, Part 3, with additional support for complex Part 9, and other permits as needed. This RFP aims to engage a Consultant with expertise in ensuring compliance with the British Columbia Building Code, National Plumbing Code of Canada, City of Prince George Building Bylaw, and other applicable regulations. The selected firm must hold the necessary accreditation and professional designation to provide application reviews (e.g. schedules, plans, photos, drawings, technical information) and inspections, when applicable. In addition to this, any of the building permit information provided by the Consultant must be of a professional state (i.e. mark up on drawings and emails) that it will be part of the defensible record for that building permit. Additionally, the Consultant will help strengthen the City's building inspection team's skills in managing complex and smaller-scale projects on an as-needed, non-exclusive basis. The City is committed to delivering high-quality building services that meet community standards. The selected Consultant will play a key role in supporting the Development Services team by ensuring regulatory compliance and providing efficient reviews of building permit applications. The City does not guarantee the quantity of work that will be required under this contract. This solicitation may lead to sequential or concurrent negotiations with one or more Proponents offering the most advantageous proposal(s), or to the creation of a Contract without negotiations. |
