The City of Prince George invites bids from qualified and experienced contractors for the supply of materials, labour, and equipment to provide rehabilitation work at the existing trails in 2021, in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined herein.

The 2017 Park Strategy identifies trails as one of the highest strategic investments as they contribute to the quality of life by providing commuter alternatives to motorized transportation, recreational benefits, access to natural areas in otherwise urbanized environments and accessible infrastructure for user groups of all ages and mobility levels. A number of trail systems have sections, which require repairs in order to meet the demands for use by residents.

The priority in 2021 includes improving the trails at Forest for the World, from the main entrance at Kueng Rd to Shane Lake. Ginters Field connection, UNBC Connector trail’s general rehabilitation, Wilson Park connection trail from parking lot, Ferguson Lake Nature Park accessible trail and Tyner Blvd trail general rehabilitation.
