City of Prince George (City) invites bids from qualified and experienced contractors for the supply of materials, labour, and equipment for construction and stabilization works for portions of the Heritage River Trail; and the stripping, replacement, and compaction of the upper surface layer of trail with CBC - WGB material at Freeman Park. 

The work also includes removal of old bollards at least (5) P-Gate sites and installing at least seven (7) pairs of P-Gate bases to be placed at various trailheads. Three (3) at Carrie Jane Gray Park, one (1) at Freeman Park, one (1) at HRT at Taylor Dr, and two (2) at Tyner Blvd

Trail Rehabilitation: The 2017 Park Strategy identifies trails as one of the highest strategic investments as they contribute to the quality of life by providing commuter alternatives to motorized transportation, recreational benefits, access to natural areas in otherwise urbanized environments and accessible infrastructure for user groups of all ages and mobility levels. Several trail systems have sections which require repairs in order to meet the demands for use by residents.
