| Description: |
conducting a condition assessment of approx. 214km of sidewalks and walkways, including the inventory of the sidewalk and walkway ramps (location and material). Automated data collection using technology such as 3D Laser Scanning would be preferred. The condition assessment methodology will need to be similar to the one conducted in 2017 as part of the Pedestrian Network Study; see Annex 2 for distress rating methodology. The condition assessment data and scores will need to be in a format that can be uploaded to Cityworks inspections (see Pedestrian Point: RPATH and Pedestrian Summary: RPATH inspection templates from Annex 3 – Pedestrian Network Study). A ramp inventory consisting of location and material will also be required to be collected. The sidewalk and walkway inventory has 1820 individual asset segments consisting of:
Point inspections for distresses will be collected along with photos. The road path inventory will be supplied to the contractor upon award but may also be downloaded from the City’s Open Data sites.
