The City of Prince George is seeking proposals from qualified Suppliers to update CN Centre’s electronic digital message sign on Ospika Boulevard. Installed in 2004, the existing frame, backlit signs, and digital message sign require an update. The intent is to modernize the existing structure to the status of it looking brand new, with appropriate refurbishment work done on the:

• Wooden header.

• Backlit signs.

• Metal frame.

• Wooden side framing.

• Digital message sign [63” (H) x 138.6” x (W)]. 

• Any required electrical or digital communications hardware

The RFP must include removing the old digital message sign, and installing a new digital outdoor display suitable for outdoor use (anywhere from -40 degrees to 55 degrees Celsius), with the ability to display static monochromatic, multichromatic, and full motion video. The installation is to included the software to communicate with, manage, and edit, the imagery and/or video displayed on the message sign.

This RFP is only for the items noted, and is not requesting proposals for managing, controlling, and operating the sign’s ads and imagery. City of Prince George staff will continue to manage and control the images and videos displayed on the Ospika Sign. Proposals should outline how and where staff will communicate with the sign, software to be used, and how the imagery will be managed.
