City of Prince George (City) invites bids from qualified and experienced contractors for the supply of materials, labour, and equipment to provide rehabilitation work at the existing trails in 2022, in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined herein. The 2017 Park Strategy identifies trails as one of the highest strategic investments as they contribute to the quality of life by providing commuter alternatives to motorized transportation, recreational benefits, access to natural areas in otherwise urbanized environments and accessible infrastructure for user groups of all ages and mobility levels. A number of trail systems have sections, which require repairs in order to meet the demands for use by residents. The priority in 2022 includes improving the shoulders of Tyner Blvd trail and the UNBC connector trail at Ginters. |
