City of Prince George (the “City”) is located in Northern British Columbia, 750 kilometers North-East of Vancouver at the confluence of the Fraser and Nechako rivers. The City covers an area of 315 square kilometers. The terrain is composed of a mixture of flat valley bottoms, rolling hills and steep cliffs. The lowest elevation in the City is at approximately 560m above mean sea level with the highest elevation at approximately 885m above mean sea level.

The City has acquired aerial photography in previous years and endeavors to update its information approximately every three to four years. The most recent capture was done in 2018 and included digital aerial imagery at 0.10 m as well as LiDAR data capture at 10 ppm². The project area (575 km²) includes the City boundary and a 2 km buffer.

This Request for Proposal seeks to acquire digital colour aerial photography, digital colour ortho photography and an aerial LiDAR survey to produce a digital elevation model (DEM) of the area defined by the boundary of the City including a buffer area of approximately two kilometers as outlined in Annex 2 - Maps/Drawings.
