Description: 

The City of Prince George (City) is inviting qualified Suppliers to submit proposals for a Content Management System (CMS) and a News and Events tool implementation. 

The Content Management System will replace the existing content management hosting www.princegeorge.ca and will ensure that we are able to provide citizens with accessible, easy to find, up-to-date content. The News & Events tool will adapt or replace our existing news and events modules used on our external website as well. Performance, reliability, and maintainability are key to the continued success for our online channels.

The goals of the project are to: 

  1. Replace SharePoint with a new CMS;
  2. Replace or improve on the existing News and Events Modules;
  3. Move to a hosted service;
  4. Improve and update navigation and streamline the design, providing full control over page lay-outs based on templates; and
  5. Improve the ability to develop customizations internally.
